Initially occupied by girls from “Lawson Cottage”, it became a home for undernourished boys.  It operated until 1949, with the exception of the period 1942 – 1945 when the building was occupied by the Defence Forces.

During this time, children wee cared for at the Cronulla Children’s Home (later Cowley House).  In 1950 the boys were relocated to a new home at Woodford – Haddon Hall.
