Museum Collection

CLAN was established in 2000 in Sydney by Care Leavers for Care Leavers and has always maintained an Australian Orphanage Museum, so that our history is visible to all Australians.

We have hundreds of items on display at the Australian Orphanage Museum at 351 Ryrie Street, Geelong, VIC, including:

  • A baby’s cot from Methodist Babies’ Home – VIC
  • A large gate from Mater Dei Orphanage – NSW
  • Strap used at St Augustines Boys home in the 1960s
