St Gabriel’s was established in 1922 by the Chritian Brothers at Castle Hill. It was a residential home for boys who had a hearing impairment, and catered for boys aged from 5 to 17 years.
St Gabriel’s ceased being as a residential school in 1973, and became a co-educational day school. In 2014 St Gabriel’s began offerring a range of programs to support children with hearing impairment and disabilities in the autism spectrum.
