St Christopher’s Home for Little Children was established in 1928 by the Sisters of the Community of the Holy Name with the support of the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle. The Home was located in a house called “Clifton” at Lochinvar in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales. It housed children aged one to six. In 1937 the Church Army took over its management. St Christopher’s Home moved to Taree in 1956 and closed in 1978.
