Ruhamah was a children’s home established in May 1959 for boys over the age of seven.  It was run by the Baptist Homes Trust.  The Home was situted at 830 King Georges Road at South Hurstville. Ruhamah was officially opened on 15 August 1959. The home was relocated to Oatley in November 1975. Ruhamah remained a home for boys until 1980 when it was changed to a home for girls aged from fifteen to eighteen years. Ruhamah closed in 1985.
