Year Closed: 1980s
Opened in 1942 at Glebe. Arleston Young Men’s Hostel opened in 1944 close by. Homes were also opened at Castle Hill and Bowral in 1960. The Charlton Homes were then moved to Ashfield from Glebe in 1966 and the Homes at Bowral and Castle Hill were moved to Ashfield in 1970. Ashfield closed in the late 1980s.
The Homes that were part of Charlton Youth services were:
‘Trigg’ at Granville
‘Lisgar’ at Oatley
‘Carramar’ at Granville
‘Robinson’ at Campbelltown
