Previously known as St Vincent’s Orphanage.
Nudgee Orphanage / Home for Children developed into the largest non-governmental orphan institution in Queensland. More than 10,000 children passed through the orphanage until it closed in 1977.
The home is currently still run by the Catholic Church as an aged care facility.
