Margaret Marr Memorial Home For Boys, in Wynnum, was operated by the Methodist Church. It officially opened on the 1st of March 1924 and was licensed under the State Childrens Act 1911 in 1924. State children were first admitted in 1937. It was licensed again under the Childrens’ Services Act 1965 on 4th August 1966. In 1973 its license was surrendered.
