* Known as James Horton School for girls – 1954/55
* Known as Horton House – 1963/64
* Two family group units opened (“Alford Cottage” and ” Hocking Cottage”) – April 1966
* Licensed under the Children’s Services Act – 4th August 1966
* Third Cottage “Ray Powell Cottage” officially opened 30th August 1969
* Funding ceased – 1st November 1985
